Get Involved! September 7 Rally for Jobs

The Rally for Jobs addresses how more energy equals more jobs, higher incomes and greater economic growth. In Canton on September 7, a coaltion of national and state organizations are presenting the Ohio Rally for Jobs to educate and engage Ohio's workforce in the national debate about the rising cost of energy and how it could impact our jobs and prosperity. 2010 Primary Election Information

On May 4, 2010, Ohioans voted to pass State Ballot Issue 1 and the renewal of the Third Frontier program. This program has proven effective in creating 55,000 jobs and more than 600 new companies. This issue will ensure a better quality of life for Ohioans, as well as create jobs and continue the expansion of important industries and companies, without raising taxes. Ohio unemployment rate falls slightly to 10.3 percent in July

August 20, 2010 (Cleveland Plain Dealer) - Ohio's unemployment rate fell to 10.3 percent in July, the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services said Friday. That's down slightly from 10.5 percent in June. Read the full story here.

Ohio Democrats warn House Speaker Pelosi on health bill

July 21, 2009 (The Columbus Dispatch) - Democrats John Boccieri of Alliance and Steve Driehaus of Cincinnati were among 21 House Democratic freshmen who warned in a letter last week that a proposed House Democratic health bill would impose such heavy taxes on small businesses and the wealthy that it 'could kill the goose that will lay the golden eggs of our recovery.'
